A good recruitment and selection process can provide a positive influence to increasing employee commitment, productivity and the quality of work (Sutanto & Kurniawan, 2017). Staff retention is the process in which the employees are encouraged to remain with the organization for the maximum period of time or until the completion of the objectives where the basic aim of employee retention Is to reduce employee turnover and to considerably reduce the associated expenses of hiring, training and orientation of the new employees (Khalid & Nawab, 2018). There is evidence that performance can decrease if the employee retention is bad and there is a possibility of stagnation if employee turnover is too dejected (Sutanto & Kurniawan, 2017).
